BOTAK is the first French brand of care products for bald, shaved, and shorn heads.
The story of BOTAK:
Created in 2019, the brand supports people with exposed scalps in taking care of their scalp skin, and in gaining more self-confidence, because they deserve it and their skin needs it.
Before BOTAK , products aimed at bald people were designed to regrow hair, slow down hair loss, or conceal baldness. These products perpetuate feelings of shame and insecurity about no longer having hair.
"It all started with a simple observation: Fab couldn't find any products suitable for his bald head, even though his dermatologist advised him to use some. His scalp was dry in the morning, shiny in the afternoon. Facial products caused him to break out in pimples or made his scalp shiny.
With BOTAK, we wanted to create something that didn't exist: a caring and expert French brand dedicated to all shaved or bald heads. Because being bald isn't about the absence of hair, it's another way to be beautiful.

BOTAK's values:
The BOTAK brand is built on 4 pillars : Health, Beauty, Social, Environmental.
We develop, formulate and manufacture dermo-cosmetic products for the health and beauty of the hairless scalp.
We are also committed to providing bald and shaved-headed people with a safe space free from mockery and bad jokes, with respect and inclusion .
All of this is done while striving to minimize our environmental impact, whether in terms of the carbon footprint of our actions or the biodegradability of our products. For us, the consumer comes first, and the planet comes second.
The name "BOTAK":
Our co-founder Fab spent over 5 years in Southeast Asia. During those years, he went by the name " Botak ".
Botak, in Malay and Indonesian, refers to a person with an exposed, shaved, or cropped head. Far from being pejorative in this culture, it is customary to refer to someone by a distinctive physical characteristic. There is no judgment or discrimination involved. The term includes everyone, regardless of age, origin, or social background.
These values of universality, inclusion and benevolence were the inspiration for creating BOTAK.
